This contemporary Malibu residence is inspired by streamlined European architecture that unites the simplicity of walls, window and structure with stone floors in neutral tones. The background offsets the eclectic furnishings and owners’ modern art collection while paying deference to the ocean and spectacular views.

This 1938 Beverly Hills residence was designed by architect Herbert Reisenberg in a stylized French Revival style, influenced by the streamlined white brick houses being built in L.A. in the 1930s by Paul Williams and others. Our remodel restores the house to its original splendor and adds much-needed family rooms and bedrooms. The new interiors maintain the scale of the original and are inspired by the works of Jean Dunand and the Art Deco and Art Moderne periods in Paris.

A modern interpretation of white brick Colonial Revival houses found found around Atlanta by such architects as James Means and Neel Reid, this Brentwood home is designed for a young family and adapted to the climate and lifestyle of Southern California. Organized around a classic central hall plan, major rooms are formally designed with paneling, niches and classic fireplaces.
