Inspired by 18th-century French Neoclassical houses in the Paris region and American interpretations by Horace Trumbauer, Charles McKim and their contemporaries, this residence adapts that formal French style to the landscape of Southern California. Featuring a dramatic 3-story staircase, formal rooms creating an enfilade for large gatherings, and formal gardens, tennis court and poolhouse, La Lanterne embodies grand living with a contemporary European flair.
